Deb Siefert is Director of Hagerty’s Community Development Block Grants – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) programs. Deb has over 15 years experience managing CDBG programs with the last 10 exclusively working in CDBG-DR. She is recognized and respected as a Subject Matter Expert on CDBG.

Deb is currently the on-site Project Manager for both the City of Longmont and the Boulder County Collaborative in Colorado. There she assists the City to administer more than $60 million of CDBG-DR flood recovery funds countywide. Prior to assisting Colorado, she assisted the City of New York’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) with program start-up to administer the City’s $4.2 billion Sandy Disaster Recovery CDBG funds.

Earlier in her career Deb worked as the CDBG-DR project manager assisting the City of Minot, North Dakota with recovery from its 2011 flood. Within this project, she managed, developed, wrote, and implemented all the HUD required policies, procedures, and action plans. Deb got her start with CDBG managing HUD entitlement communities for the City of Arlington, Texas and Tarrant County, Texas.

Deb graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a major in environmental planning from Southern Illinois University, and a law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. She travels extensively for Hagerty but calls Dallas-Ft.Worth home.
