Federal Preparedness Doctrine

Federal Preparedness Doctrine

The Federal Preparedness Doctrine is the comprehensive guide for residents and citizens of the United States to move forward with preparedness activities and achieve the preparedness goal.  It is a long, multi-faceted series of documents with five mission areas and 31 core capabilities. Cumulatively it is a daunting publication, but we know it forwards and backwards and like nothing better than working with clients on achieving preparedness.

The National Preparedness Goal

“A secure and resilient nation with the capabilities required across the whole community to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk.”

The risks are both natural and manmade, including pandemics, terrorism, cyber attacks, and chemical spills. This is what we do: we help clients prepare for and recover from disasters.
