In an ideal world, effective emergency operations planning begins well before an emergency occurs. It requires organizing and equipping, training, exercising, and evaluating/improving. Hagerty has experience in every phase of emergency operations planning at all levels of government, as well as for private businesses, schools, and cultural organizations.
Once a disaster occurs or is imminent, the plan is activated. With the benefit of foresight, emergency operations planning will have identified priorities, clarified roles and the people assigned to them, determined needed resources, clarified expected standards and levels of performance, and documented contingencies.
Hagerty’s experience with emergency operations planning includes working on the 9/11 Recovery, helping New Orleans recover after Hurricane Katrina, and more recently, helping New York City repair and rebuild after Superstorm Sandy. We bring in a team, work hard and work smart, and stay until the job is finished.
