Hagerty offers insurance claim support as one of many services available to clients.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has safeguards in place to prevent duplication of benefits for the same loss. In the event of a disaster that damages or destroys one’s home or property, the homeowner’s personal property or flood insurance benefits (anticipated or actual, whichever is greater) are deducted from eligible costs. Applicants to the FEMA Public Assistance program or the National Flood Insurance Program are advised of this early on, and encouraged to contact their insurance company and file a claim in pursuit of entitled payments.
Commercial Insurance Claim Support
For commercial and public structures, the overall process with insurance claim support is very similar, although typically the dollar amounts are much higher. Hagerty professionals with expertise in insurance claim adjusting, estimating, and construction are available to help you gather the information you need to document and defend your claim.
