After the Fire USA 2025 Wildfire Leadership Summit

After the Fire USA’s (ATF USA) 2025 Wildfire Leadership Summit provides a national platform to advance community-based strategies for wildfire preparedness, recovery, and risk reduction. Taking place from September 9 to 11, 2025, in Sonoma, California, this three-day event convenes cross-sector leaders, experts, and partners for immersive sessions, strategic networking, and collaborative problem-solving.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Ohana: Community-Led Recovery in a Disrupted World,” emphasizes the vital role of local leadership in building resilience and driving long-term, transformative recovery.

Looking Back: 2024 Wildfire Leadership Summit

Last year, Hagerty’s Executive Chair, Brock Long, proudly served as a keynote speaker at the 2024 Wildfire Leadership Summit. In his address, Brock offered insights on reimagining service delivery amid the growing frequency and severity of climate disasters. His remarks focused on the four pillars of effective disaster response, the rising unpredictability of modern crises, and the importance of disaster equity and proactive mitigation.

Reflecting on his experience as the Former Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Brock underscored that true resilience demands a whole-community approach.

A bigger FEMA isn’t going to solve our problems. This is a team sport. From the individual to the federal government—we all have a role to play.
