Extreme Weather Resilience Hub: Weathering the Shift

As disasters grow more frequent and severe, the systems we rely on to respond and recover are under growing strain. To help local governments meet this challenge, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) launched the Extreme Weather Resilience Hub in May 2025. By focusing on governance, financing, and place-based strategies, the Hub equips localities with tools to strengthen resilience against future disasters.

On September 18, 2025, the Extreme Weather Resilience Hub will host Weathering the Shift: Place-Based Solutions for Extreme Weather Resilience—a program featuring a fireside chat and panel discussion with experts from government, professional associations, and the private sector. Together, they will explore how locally driven solutions can advance adaptation and resilience in the face of evolving climate threats.
