The New York State Emergency Management Association (NYSEMA) Conference brings together emergency management leaders, practitioners, and partners from across New York State to share insights, strengthen coordination, and advance the profession. With support from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), the NYSEMA Conference remains the state’s premier forum for collaboration and learning.
The 2026 conference will take place from February 10-12, 2026, in Syracuse, New York. This year’s event will feature workshops and presentations highlighting emerging technologies, evidence-based practices, and innovative approaches to enhancing community resilience. Attendees will have opportunities to participate in meaningful dialogue, peer exchange, and engagement with industry-leading vendors representing all facets of emergency management and public safety.

About Our Team
Brock Long is the Executive Chairman of Hagerty Consulting and the former Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). During his tenure at FEMA, he led responses to major disasters and implemented pivotal initiatives to strengthen emergency management systems. Previously, Brock served as Director of Alabama’s Emergency Management Agency, where he played a key role in responding to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. With over 25 years of experience, Brock now enhances Hagerty’s leadership and advocacy efforts, advancing the future of emergency management.
Garrett Ingoglia is Vice President at Hagerty with over 20 years of experience in disaster resilience, response, and recovery. He has led major domestic and international operations, including FEMA housing recovery efforts after major hurricanes and public health emergency response programs in over 20 countries. Garrett also previously served as Vice President of Emergency Programs at the international NGO Americares. Today, he advises Hagerty’s clients on resilience initiatives, drawing on his deep expertise in governance, operations, and cross-sector collaboration.
Ari Renoni is a Deputy Director of Recovery at Hagerty with 17 years of experience, including 11 years in United States (US)-based disaster recovery. He has helped clients secure and manage over $20 billion in federal recovery funding, with expertise in FEMA Public Assistance (PA) and large-scale disasters such as Hurricanes Sandy, Maria, Ida, and Helene, as well as COVID-19. Prior to Hagerty, Ari worked in international development with the United Nations (UN) and US Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded programs.
