Resilient City Expo

From November 5 to 6, 2025, the Resilient City Expo will bring leaders, planners, and resilience professionals to Houston, Texas, to help build a disaster-ready America. This event rallies city officials, infrastructure experts, and innovators from across the nation to explore solutions at the intersection of climate risk and sustainable urban development.

Attendees will engage in insightful keynotes and immersive seminars, gaining practical tools and connections to strengthen their communities. By convening the global resilience and disaster management community, the Resilient City Expo provides a leading platform to foster collaboration and advance strategies that protect cities against future disasters.

On November 5 at 11:30 am Central Time (CT), our Senior Advisor for Economic Development, Francisco Sánchez Jr., will join the roundtable “Future Proofing America’s Homes, Communities Assets, Facilities, Infrastructure.” The following day, November 6 at 1:15 pm CT, Francisco will deliver a keynote address, “The Lifelines Lifeline: Infrastructure as Economic Opportunity and Preparedness Imperative.”

Drawing on more than two decades of experience in disaster response, recovery, and resilience, Francisco will share actionable insights to help communities strengthen their preparedness and long-term resilience.

Francisco Sánchez Jr. is a nationally recognized expert in emergency management and economic development, with over 20 years of experience in disaster response and recovery. He most recently served as Associate Administrator of the US Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (ODR&R). In this role, he led major operational reforms and directed recovery efforts for several of the country’s most significant disasters. A former Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator for Harris County, Texas, Francisco continues to apply his expertise as Hagerty’s Senior Advisor for Economic Development.
