At Hagerty, we believe in proactive resilience—helping communities not only respond to disasters but prepare for them. That is why we are proud to sponsor the 2025 HeatWise DC Summit, a pivotal event focused on shaping the response to one of the nation’s most urgent and growing hazards: extreme heat.
About HeatWise DC
HeatWise DC, taking place June 24 to 26, 2025, is a national gathering of thought leaders and decision-makers who are committed to driving meaningful progress and innovative solutions to extreme heat. Organized by the Heat Policy Innovation Hub at Duke University’s Nicholas Institute, the event will feature a series of roundtable discussions addressing three critical areas:
- Rural Heat Vulnerability
- National Defense and Security Implications
- Financing for Heat Mitigation and Insurance
The HeatWise Policy Partnership, launched in 2024, operates on a two-year cycle of policy ideation, outreach, and implementation. Building on the momentum of its inaugural leadership series, the initiative is bringing new energy, urgency, and strategy to how the United States (US) confronts climate-driven heat risks.
Ultimately, the insights and strategies developed at HeatWise DC will help shape federal policy and drive community action for years to come.
