The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is hosting its sixth annual Emergency Management (EM) Day on February 24 and 25, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. This premier event brings together emergency management professionals from across the state to network, engage with legislators, expand their knowledge, and collaborate to build more resilient communities.
This year’s event, themed “Excellence in Action,” will feature a full day of programming beginning at Florida State University’s (FSU) Turnbull Center before transitioning to the Florida Capitol.

Meet Our Team
Kalindi Fitch is a Senior Manager with more than a decade of experience supporting emergency response and recovery efforts for clients at all levels of government. She brings deep expertise across federally funded programs and has supported major disaster recovery efforts nationwide, including COVID-19 cost recovery, large-scale hurricanes and wildfires, and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program implementation.
Alec Usseglio is a Project Manager specializing in disaster recovery operations, with expertise in housing programs, damage assessments, and operational deployment. He has overseen federal recovery programs totaling more than $350 million in funding and brings hands-on experience supporting major disaster responses, including Hurricane Ian response operations and Hurricane Michael recovery efforts. Alec is also a Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM).
