New York City Housing Authority Program Support
Project Overview
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) required support in managing a wide range of professional services as part of its Sandy Resilience and Renewal Program. With the need to address multiple complex projects, NYCHA sought a unified team to effectively coordinate and oversee a diverse range of tasks, from system repairs to extensive upgrades.
Understanding the Mission
The scope of the project encompassed a variety of complex and multifaceted projects. These initiatives included the repair of essential systems such as electrical and heating systems, as well as structural repairs to buildings, restoration work to ensure buildings met current standards, and engineering control upgrades to enhance building safety and performance. Ultimately, the NYCHA enlisted Hagerty to streamline all aspects of the program, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery without compromising quality.
The Hagerty Approach
The team utilized proprietary software, Perfolio®, to create a detailed, centralized database for tracking all projects. They then thoroughly assessed each project to determine its specific needs for completion. Without delay, we began assigning project managers, establishing timelines, and defining budgets. To ensure seamless communication, we also implemented a real-time reporting system, delivering continuous project updates to both the team and the client.
Achieving Results
The Program Management Services project remains ongoing, with numerous individual projects having already been completed with great success. The program continues to deliver positive outcomes, providing NYCHA with the resources and expertise needed to maintain its commitment to offering safe, reliable housing for New York City’s residents.
