Florida’s Training for Emergency Management (FTEM) Symposium 2026 offers a critical platform to strengthen disaster preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities across the state. Taking place from May 31 to June 5, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, this weeklong event will bring together emergency managers, first responders, and public safety leaders to share insights, explore best practices, and advance the future of emergency management.
Hosted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) and the Florida Disaster Foundation, FTEM is the state’s premier event for training, collaboration, and leadership development in emergency management. The symposium goes beyond theoretical instruction by providing practical tools, actionable strategies, and real-world resources that enhance individual and team performance.
This year, attendees can expect a robust lineup of nationally recognized trainings, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen leadership, coordination, and operational readiness. FTEM 2026 will also feature specialized courses tailored for local officials and community leaders, helping jurisdictions better prepare for and support their communities throughout disaster response and recovery operations.
