Brock Long, Hagerty’s Executive Chairman, who led the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) from 2017 to 2019, was interviewed about travel restrictions and other mitigation measures relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the early days of the virus, he predicted that social distincing guidelines would become more stringent nationwide:
“Americans need to be thinking about how they will handle a shelter in place for a couple of weeks if the government asks them to do so,” he said.
