Updating a Volunteer Plan

Updating a Volunteer Plan

The Cook County Department of Public Health asked for help updating and revising their current Volunteer Plan.

Project Overview

The Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) enlisted Hagerty’s expertise to update and enhance their existing Volunteer Plan.

Understanding the Mission

Ultimately, the CCDPH will use this new plan as a foundation for the future development of the Cook County Medical Reserve Corps (CCMRC) program.

The Hagerty Approach

Hagerty revised the Volunteer Plan to address key areas such as volunteer retention, training, and the coordination of preparedness and response efforts. In addition, Hagerty created a comprehensive handbook for CCMRC volunteers.

Achieving Results

As a result of Hagerty’s efforts, the CCMRC handbook serves as a critical resource for both current and future program development.
