Designated as a National Special Security Event (NSSE), the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28) will take place in July and August 2028. Events will be held across Greater Los Angeles, Southern California, Oklahoma City, and additional host cities nationwide, including New York, Columbus, Nashville, and St. Louis. Bringing together athletes, spectators, and stakeholders from around the world, LA28’s expansive footprint will require comprehensive planning and coordination across emergency management, public safety, critical infrastructure, hospitality, and other community partners.
Amid an evolving risk landscape, organizations must be prepared to coordinate across jurisdictions and sectors, anticipate cascading impacts, maintain essential operations, and respond effectively to emerging threats and hazards.
Supporting Special Event Preparedness and Response
Hagerty helps communities and organizations prepare for and respond to complex operating environments like LA28 through integrated program management, preparedness planning, training and exercises, and operational support.
Applying tailored security and threat management frameworks, our team helps clients plan and train for risks ranging from Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attacks (CCTA), critical infrastructure impacts, cybersecurity threats, and natural hazards. We translate complex risks into actionable plans, tested capabilities, and coordinated operations before, during, and after major events.

Our Experience
2026 FIFA World Cup: Miami-Dade County
Designed and conducted a functional exercise testing EOC activation, stakeholder coordination, communications, and response to a CCTA during a simulated match.
Ravinia Outdoor Music Festival
Developed an all-hazards Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), annual preparedness training, tabletop exercises, and an internal communications strategy and SOP for the nation’s oldest outdoor music festival.
Law Enforcement-Centric Special Event Exercise
Designed and delivered a series of tactical exercises for a large metropolitan law enforcement agency. The exercises strengthened information sharing, multi-agency coordination, and crisis communications ahead of major planned events, including the 2024 Presidential election.
